About Us

The Allan K. Pruett Memorial Scholarship was put together by friends of Allan following his untimely death in 2008. It is unique in that it not only remembers Allan, but it rewards athletes that are the best atelic of the year.

Once a year, a senior athlete from Rector High School is chosen to receive the award based on the athletic qualifications. The winner is chosen by the varsity coaches, but anyone can nominate someone for consideration. Click here to go to the nomination page and fill out an application. The award is presented at the annual RHS Sports Hall of Fame luncheon Labor Day weekend each year, so all nominations should be received by April.

The primary method of fundraising for the scholarship is memorials made in memory of Allan. The Allan K. Pruett Memorial Scholarship is classified as a 509 (a) (2) public charity by the Internal Revenue Service. All contributions are tax deductible, and the Federal Employer Identification Number for tax purposes is _______________.
